来日もいよいよ迫ってきましたね。チケットも絶賛発売中です。
そこで今回は、bluestars nightによるSoftLightes独占インタビュー！
vocalのRonが10の質問に答えてくれましたよ。
2ndの話とか興味深いですな。

Ｑ１：How did Softlightes' career start?
Softlightesはどういったいきさつで始まったんですか？

Ａ：The Softlightes began after I decided I no longer wanted to due my
previous band- Incredible Moses Leroy. The sounds are very similar but overall
I enjoy the Softlightes more.
前やっていたIncredible Moses Leroyというバンドを続けたくなくなってSoftlightes
を始めたんだ。音楽的には似ているところが多々あるけれども、Softlightesの方
があらゆる面で楽しくやってるよ。

Ｑ２： Your music sounds many kinds of tastes of music.
By what kind of music is your music influenced?
いろいろな音楽の趣向を思わせますが、音楽的な影響としてはどのようなものが
ありますか？

Ａ：I am influenced by all kinds of music . I try to not filter my
enjoyment of music based on genres . If I like it , I just like it .
僕はありとあらゆる音楽に影響を受けていて、できるだけジャンルという色眼鏡
で音楽の面白さを見失わないようにしているんだ。好きだと思ったら、それは好
きなんだよ。

Ｑ３：The 1st album is something warm and dreamy.
What about the 2nd album?
ファーストアルバムは暖かく、ドリーミーなイメージを印象を受けましたが、セ
カンドアルバムはどうなりそうですか？

Ａ：The 2nd album is a concept album about a man who has his heart broken
so deeply that he cannot die. The album is about his adventures traveling
around the globe for several hundred years. The album is to be called
" Captain Brokenheart Fights the Infinite Summer" . It's still dreamy
but also much more focused.
セカンドアルバムはコンセプトアルバムになっていて、とある傷心の男が、あま
りにひどく傷ついたがために、死ぬことができなくなってしまったっていう話な
んだ。このアルバムでは彼が世界中を数百年にわたって旅をするんだ。タイトル
は「Captain Brokenheart Fights the Infinite Summer（直訳：傷心の船長が無
限の夏と格闘する）」。ドリーミーであることは変わらないけれど、もっと焦点
が絞られているんだ。

Ｑ４：What is the difference between playing solo and in the band?
ソロとバンドで、演奏するときに違うところはどんなところですか？

Ａ：There's more headaches being in a band :)
バンドをやってる時の方が、頭が痛くなるよ（笑）。

Ｑ５：What will the shows in Japan be like?
日本でのライヴはどうなりそうですか？

Ａ：We hope to have a great time in Japan , make new friends and play great
amazing shows !!! We want to ROCK!!!!
日本で素晴らしい時間が過ごせるようにと思ってるよ。新しい友達を作って、驚
くようなライヴをするんだ！ロックするからね！！

Ｑ６：This bluestars night is an indie rock & DJ event.
Are there any nightclub events like bluestars night in LA?
ブルースターズナイトは、インディーロックであり、またDJ イベントでもありま
す。
LAでもブルースターズナイトのようなクラブイベントはありますか？

Ａ：There are a few , but people have a hard time dancing in LA --every one
is too cool . We want people to dance and have fun in Japan!!
そこそこあるけど、LAではみんな踊ることに億劫になってて難しいよ。みんなク
ールすぎちゃってさ。日本ではみんなに踊ったり楽しんでもらいたいんだよね！

Ｑ７：Please name five bands that you recommend or find hot now.
今アツいと思うバンドを5つ挙げてもらえますか？

Ａ：Today I would say : Empire of the Sun , Bat for Lashes ,
Lykke Li , Ladyhawke ,and Whitest boy Alive
そうだな、今なら：Empire of the Sun、Bat for Lashes、Lykke Li、Ladyhawke
とWhitest boy Aliveあたりかな。

Ｑ８：What do you know about Japanese cluture or custom?
なにか日本の文化や慣習について知ってることはありますか？

Ａ：Don't we have to take our shoes off inside someone's house ? I know
Sony is Japanese , and I love my PS3. I guess we don
't know very much , so you'll have to teach us !
家に入るときには靴を脱がなくちゃいけないんだったよね？あと、ソニーは日本
の会社だってこと。僕はPS3を愛してるからね。
まあ、あんまり詳しくは知らないようだから、教えてもらわないとね！

Ｑ９：What would you like to do especially in Japan?
日本では、特に何がしたいですか？

Ａ：Buy keyboards and play video games
キーボードを買って、テレビゲームしないと。

Ｑ１０：Please give your fans in Japan a message
日本のファンに一言お願いします。

Ａ：We are very excited and want to meet everyone that like Softlightes !
It's going to be the the shiznit!!
（日本でのツアーに対して）すごく興奮してるし、Softlightesが好きだっていう
みんなに会えるのを楽しみにしてるよ！絶対最高なことになるよ！！
